Google Play recently implemented a change that impacts the way Matrix Clone works. As a result, you may encounter issues loading some apps and games that were previously working without issue. To correct this, you will need to download and install your cloned apps or games from within a cloned version of the Google Play store.
If you try to create a new clone of an app or game that has been impacted by this change, you'll be promoted to first clone a copy of the Google Play app. You can then tap install and MA will automatically clone Google Play for you, then follow these steps to clone other apps, etc.
Steps to Resolve:
You'll need to use the following steps the first time you clone and launch an app within the Matrix Clone space.
- Ensure Google Play Games is installed on your base device
- Launch Matrix Clone
- Tap the '+' and add Google Play Games as a clone
- Tap the cloned version of Google Play Games to open it
- Tap Search and enter the name of the app you want to clone
- Tap Install from within the cloned version of Google Play Games - once installed it will add the clone to your Matrix Clone home screen
- Once install is finished, tap "Play" to load into your cloned app/game
- Repeat Steps 4-7 for any additional clones you want to create
If you are unable to install the app you want to clone via the cloned version of Google Play, you may opt to add it directly via the '+' at the bottom of the screen. You will still need to follow Steps 4-7 to launch your cloned app/game.
If you previously cloned the app/game you want to play, you will still need to create a cloned version of Google Play Games, open that clone, locate the app/game you want to use and tap 'Play"
IMPORTANT: You will need to maintain the clone of Google Play Games for each instance of Matrix Clone. If you want to clone a specific app/game more than once, you will need to create a new clone of Google Play Games.
